Circuit for an electrical hoist for lifting a patient or disabled person. After figuring out the circuit, and then a discussion with the manufacturer, it became very obvious that the reason it wasn't performing its basic requirement – lifting a patient or disabled person – was an IC integrated circuit that was effectively programmed to detect that the warranty had expired, and then would disable the lifting function of the hoist. Counter measures were taken against their malpractice, and bypassed the IC with a little modification that cost about £0.50p... and saved well over £100 pounds.
