Short Back and Sides.

A bit of a brutal haircut for the wonderful tree in a neighbours garden.   I was fascinated to watch the tree surgeons at work.  I knew that the tree needed some attention as it had grown much too large to be so close to the houses (ours included) if ever it fell , but I never expected anything as drastic as this.  I was devastated to realise that I will never again be able to get a shot of a flock of goldfinches at the top , or starlings massing on there.  I have included a photo from last year of the starlings, as an extra.
