A delivery day. First was the good old Post Office, at their regular early time... usually whilst I'm in the shower, or mid-shave. That had me hoping the others would also soon arrive, and leave me free for a wee cycle venture. T'was not to be. Second came twelve hours later, in the evening. Poor bloke looked like he was on an endless shift. Third? No sign. More waiting in tomorrow.

Fire on late this evening. Loads of old MOT, car insurance, and other motor related paperwork converted into heat, along with a start on the various odd bits of wood that are cluttering the place outside.  At least it wasn't a windless night, so the smoke didn't hang over the neighbourhood.
