Ice crystals in the sun

Water was the theme running through today.
Mud, running water and ice all played a part in an interesting morning ride with sheet ice across steep roads requiring some delicate walking on the tiny flat edges of the verges. Concentration rather than the usual relaxation.
The local river level has dropped leaving large pools of ice and water across playing fields and some other damage.
Finally perhaps an odd day to choose to empty a partially frozen garden pond and make ready for it to be filled in but it was warm work - apart from chilly fingers. Need to carry on moving forward with creating space for a larger summerhouse to be built over the coming months
