Frosted Coralberry

This tiny berry, about the size of a match head, is last remaining berry on the bush. Despite the heavy frost it clung valiently to the branch for yet one more day.

It was bitterly cold this morning and I had great difficulty keeping my hands warm enough to operate the camera. Eventually I put my trusty pole, which I didn't really need today, back in the car and then I could walk with my hands in my warm trouser pockets until a photo opportunity presented itself.

It was quite busy up at the Heritage Park but the underfoot conditions were good so everyone, apart from me, kept up a good pace. Too many photographs taken on circuits one and two so I made myself walk a third time without taking any photograph at all.
