Catbird

A Gray Catbird to be more exact. This is one of a definite pair. I have no idea how to tell male from female. Guess it doesn't matter as long as they know! hahaha! They're 'common' here in North Central FL in the Winter, although this pair has been here all year. Yeah! They are omnivores, eating insects, berries and BarkButter, of course. My field guide indicates that they are known to eat a 'bizarre' assortment of items including doughnuts, cheese, boiled potato, and corn flakes. They also enjoy bathing in our birdbaths and the bog. I hope that they decide to nest close by, I'd love to see Catbird little ones! :)
