Music rehearsal

I had a busy day as usual, with my run first thing followed by work, but at the end of the day I had a rehearsal of the piece I am playing next week.

I have been asked to play a piece called Eli Eli which was originally a choral piece with the lyrics written by a Holocaust victim who died aged 23. I am playing for an online ceremony which is for the Holocaust Memorial.

I feel honoured to play but also very nervous. I have had to arrange the piece myself and today I made some changes to it and had to rewrite it (on old fashioned manuscript paper).. I’m sure there are probably apps that do this for you but I don’t mind writing it out.

I have another sound check Sunday so some more rehearsals tomorrow!
