Enjoying a sunny afternoon on the beach.....

I usually like to go out to the ponds or lakes right after work in the mornings, taking pics and getting my blip.

Since it was raining this morning I didn't have that opportunity, I though I might just get a shot or two of the bird feeder when I got up.

Well, I couldn't sleep, so getting up was a lot earlier than I had anticipated. Since I had a bit more time than planned I went over to Silver River Park, right by my house, for a nice walk in the woods and get my blip in the process.

I didn't see much, an armadillo scrounging for bugs, some turtles on a log, a grebe too far away, a few other assorted birds in the distance, and this little critter sunning himself in some weeds along the river. I figured this was as good as it was going to get today, since it was mid-afternoon.
