Invincible
I've mentioned before in previous blips how much I like the start of Spring and the flowers that burst out from their Winter sleep, bringing with them new life and hope. One of my favourites is the snowdrop, not least because it is one of the first to appear. I like their courage, their boldness. They're not the most sturdy looking of flowers, but somehow they brave the cold and make themselves known. They refuse to be beaten.
When I was thinking of today's photo, I was reminded of this quote by Albert Camus: "In the midst of Winter, I found there was, within me, an invincible Summer." I know the seasons aren't quite right but somehow it seems to fit.
