A Blessed Life

We have both gas and wood burning fireplaces. As much as we love having a “real” fire, it is so much easier just to turn on a switch and, voila, it’s ready to go. Plus that is the room with the tv and we usually watch one news show on week days. So, on this cold winter evening, we decided to have a glass of wine, grab our Kindles, light the smoker our German friends sent and cozy up to the fire. Pictures of our grandchildren adorn the mantle. Our toes were still a bit chilled from watching Brooklyn’s soccer game. They lost 1-0. Brooklyn had a last minute kick that touched the goal post but veered right. Drats. It was still a well played game. Happy weekend all.
