Conoco Gas
From the previous layout, I had built a small gas station for Conoco. Since Dolores also had a Continental Oil Company (CONOCO) depot, we needed a place to pump the gas. Clearly a proud new buyer of that Buick Roadmaster is showing off to the gas station attendant. Lots of little details here - the pumps were kits and extremely difficult to make. But fun to add the details. You also can't see the weeds and grass I planted around the station. Naturally, the outhouse is a necessity and the grass seems to grow well around there. You can't see it but I downloaded a Colorado license plate from 1950, reduced it to S scale, and printed a couple different numbers on my color printer for the pickup and the Buick.
That is grandpa sitting next to the pickup. He needs a dog.
I need to practice more with my new camera and depth of field but this will have to do for now.Rio Grande Southern, Sn3 model trains, model railroading hobby
