Rock Tree Beach

A crisp sunny morning, so up and out birding at dawn. The sun on this beach reminded me of other summers spent boating round these islands, stopping for picnics and a swim. Too cold for that today but it was lovely to be out--somehow everyone seemed to be in a good mood, greeting each other as we passed on the street or trail....that plus 4 new birds from my year list and a treat of the renowned soft-serve, rich and creamy ice cream from the iconic Beacon Drive-In, and life is good!
