Fun and Fear at the Farm

Julia is staying at the farm with friends this weekend. They were playing 500 when I took this. I’m not much of a card player and always happy when there are enough for a game so I can read a book, or find a blip.
We have been invited for dinner which is about to come off the rotisserie and is smelling pretty good.

The pool is up and running and I had my first dip today. It was beautiful in but then this spider (extra) appeared.
I know I’ve blipped a couple of mini spiders recently but I didn’t think I could bring myself to photograph this one. However at 40mm focal length it was possible and I must say I was impressed with the detail I was able to capture without the macro lens.
