The wort for Ally’s no Crystal Porter 6.0 in the kettle just coming to the boil.

Very cold day for brewing - below zero first thing. Hard to believe this is the 6th year I’ve brewed this beer -it’s a strong black Porter with chocolate and coffee flavours - ideal for this kind of weather

We were warmed up in the evening by an early Burns Supper from our fishmonger Sandys which as well as the haggis, neeps and tatties had a tasting of 5 wee drams of Islay single malt
