2015-06-15 (Day 166) Brigadier Hope Memorial
I have seen this memorial from the roadside many times, so today decided to stop at it on the way back from work.
The memorial is in the middle of the magnificent West Lothian Golf Club, which sits on the hills between Linlithgow and Bo'ness, and affords wonderful views over the Forth Valley.
Brigadier Hope himself died during the Indian Mutiny of 1857, and the memorial appears to have been erected in 1859.
