2015-06-22 (Day 173) Railway Working

Our railways and roads have been disrupted recently, with work going on to raise the road bridge at Polmont Railway Station.

However, on the way home from work today I noticed some metal posts at the side of the railway line that I hadn't seen before. It looks to me as if they may be the posts that will support the new cabling for the trains.

Now from this angle, it looks as if they are a lot taller than the road bridge that carries the A801 across the railway. But I've just checked the egip web site and it says that the A801 does not need work done on it... must be an optical illusion!
