Go To Sleep!

Boy is doing his best at the moment not to go to sleep at night. Whichever parent he is with he requires the other one. Whichever room he is in he requires to be in another one.

Usually this ends up with some frank discussion with Boy followed by tears, usually his, but sometimes ours, followed by finally he agreeing to try and sleep. Then that is when the evening should be pretty much over, but then there are the lunches to make, the yowling cat to deal with and the attempt to spend some time on the sofa meaning bed comes too late and tomorrow comes too early.
