Hugill Fell

We drove 2 miles to walk round the hill above Staveley that is Reston Scar and Hugill Fell because you get 360° views. Here we are admiring the Old Man of Coniston in the distance and wondering if there is someone on the top waving at us.   Bound to be on a day like this.

The walk was spoilt by a grumpy old man complaining to us that people were  driving to Staveley to walk.  I don't know where he thought I'd come from but I was chatting to a South African passer by at the time so he could hear our accents. Mr Grumpy probably thought I'd come up from London and the other guy had flown in from SA.  Whereas SA guy lived in Staveley and I had driven 2 miles.
