We met up with some of the family today at the Almond Valley Heritage Farm, which is described as a "museum exploring the history...of West Lothian" (http://www.almondvalley.co.uk)

In spite of less-than-perfect weather, we had a great time. On of the residents we came across was this fellow, who was watching over his hens with a definite proprietorial air. When he wasn't preening himself, he was keeping his eye very clearly on all the visitors, making sure nobody was going to try to run off with HIS hens!
