2015-09-25 (Day 268) Another Rave Run

Last week I posted a Rave Run picture, and decided that I wanted to try to keep going with Rave Run Fridays.

So, here's today's Rave Run. It's just a little bit along the canal from the last one, but the colours in the trees were too good to resist.

It was quite a challenge to take the picture, since I didn't have anyone else to operate the shutter for me. So instead I had the little G7X mounted on a GorillaPod. The GorillaPod has magnetic feet, which I used to hold the entire assembly on a metal bridge post for the road bridge that crosses the canal.

Then I connected my phone to the camera using WiFi, and ran down to the track to take the picture.

If I went more than about three metres further from the camera than you see in this picture, the WiFi connection was dropped. Guess how many attempts it took to discover exactly what the range was...
