2015-09-02 (Day 245) Holytown War Memorial
I am sure that there is a rewarding photo project in taking pictures of Britain's War Memorials.
This one is a great example, in Holytown, Lanarkshire.
Commissioned from Glasgow monumental sculptors Messrs Scot and Rae, it was erected in September 1921, and denotes a Scottish solider in full kilt uniform. As with most such memorials, there is a (depressingly long) list of the dead from teh first World War.
