Following on

Didn't walk to take a photo today, but I got a great surprise around 4pm as I gazed out of the window and saw what I thought was the heron from the glen flying into the trees behind the house.  from its size I knew it wasn't one of the pigeons that frequent the garden.  J whose eyesight is much better than mine was able to confirm it was a heron. I think so many people have been in the country park over the past few sunny days that it has needed to find somewhere quieter to sit.  Unfortunately it landed quite a distance from the house hence the poor quality of the shot.
