The Old Mill, Jesmond Dene

Had a lovely walk down to Jesmond Dene at lunchtime and it was nice to get out into the fresh air for a change.


This is the Old Mill which was built around the turn of the 19th century. There has been a mill on the site since the early 18th century (Mabel's Mill), and was last used as a flint mill until it was acquired by Lord Armstrong (Cragside) in 1862 and is now owned by the City of Newcastle.
