Octopus

Raining heavily most of the day, but better than the flurries that were forecast! We wanted to get out for some fresh air so we went for a drive, filled up the gas tank, and stopped in town for me to get this image. Unfortunately a van was parked beside it so I didn't have much room. We watched My Octopus Teacher on Netflix last night. I've been wanting to watch it for quite awhile. What a wonderful documentary, so moving and beautifully photographed. It reminded me of the relationship I had with Old White Face, the doe that lived on our place for many years. Yes, I shed a few tears. I visited her bones a couple of days ago. It's just so incredible to establish trust with wildlife and I understood completely how the man in the film felt about the octopus. G really enjoyed it too.
We went for a short walk down the road and Burgoyne just to stretch our legs a bit. Felt good.
FaceTimed with the birthday girl and the rest of the family yesterday. It was great to see them all together, celebrating MWK's 21st birthday. Heard from her today that she had an awesome birthday.  Excellent.
