The Night Shelter

For a number of years now, I have been volunteering to cook at an overnight Homeless shelter. 

It's been great fun... With a great number of characters met in that time (and that's just the folk I've cooked with!!)

With the whole Covid restrictions in place, we have had to adapt with cooking in one place and then transporting the food to another... But we've overcome and folk have been fed. 

It's just a shame that it's required at all... But as someone once said "You will always have the poor with you"... Its just our job to look after them.
