Hedge

God, I love this light! I'm sure our Cumbrian Februaries are usually rain-sodden and dreary but this year, for the last few days at least, we've been blessed with sun. Proper, gorgeous spring sun, low in the sky, casting a golden light that's bright enough to create long shadows.

This hedge runs along the road where the house is. I am a fan of hedges. So much more interesting - and so much more impenetrable - than fences. Heaven knows how old this one is but it's very well established.

I'm not sure I would normally attempt a photo of a hedge but the light makes this one work. What the hell am I going to do when the rain returns?
