Back road blues

A patch of roadside blues - not quite Muddy Waters' kind! - formed by Chicory, Cichorium intybus, not often seen wild, but very pretty when it is. Probably a naughty garden escapee, but it can provide fodder as well as a coffee substitute from its roots.
