2017-01-28 (Day 028) Muiravonside Church
Today turned into an unexpectedly busy day, and the light was failing as I took Tess for a walk along the canalside. Still, I thought that I might be able to get something worthwhile, and so I took this picture of Muiravonside Church. This is a four second exposure, f/5.6, ISO 200.
As for the church itself, this is an 1806 building, which probably replaced an earler building that would date back to the 1650s. The bell tower contains a bell dated 1699, which may have come from the original building.
The church is right beside the Union Canal, and far enough from the nearby village of Maddiston that it really does feel as if it is out in the countryside.
