2017-05-06 (Day 126) Windmills

Between Armadale and Avonbridge there are large areas of farmland with very few roads, and it was asking one of those few roads that I traveled today. The road showed signs of having been widened at strategic points, and it became clear why. Right in the middle of nowhere there was a substantial wind farm.

After this point the road suddenly became much narrower, clearly all access to the wind farm had been from the south. Yet there were still a couple of really interesting-looking low buildings in places, low buildings in autumnal colours with high fences surrounding them.

My conspiracy theories of course immediately started going into overdrive!
