Burns Day & Night
Going all in with Robert Burns this year! Our walk took us down the Royal Mile to Canongate Kirk and Cemetery were Agnes Maclehose (aka Nancy and Clarinda), the paramour of Burns, is buried. A cut down Old Tolbooth Wynd and up the steps onto Regent Road to the Burns Monument. It was designed by Thomas Hamilton and built between 1831 - 1839. The views from here over the Kirkyard, Parliament and Palace to Arthur's Seat are superb.
Haggis (veggie variety), neeps and tatties tonight! Mister F threatening to do a version of "To a Haggis" with the big kitchen knife!
Snow and ice on the wane.
