Receding

Here in the west the snow is quickly receding into the hills and milder weather was presaged by the mare's tails in the sky tonight.   Meg and I took advantage of a bright late morning to enjoy the lanes just beyond town, popular with locals on their daily exercise.   Twenty-four hours ago this was an all white scene but I quite like the return of glorious technicolour!    

I got a fair bit of admin done this morning, especially good since the list is longer than ever!    After lunch we watched the last two episodes of Agent Carter with me rolling up Christmas streamers.   We're keeping the Christmas theme going until Candlemas on 2nd Feb but beginning to tidy things away in the run up.   

The engineers are still trundling up and down the line, keeping everything in shape for when passenger trains return.   Might not be until June :-(
