2018-02-23 (Day 054) Nottingham Castle
So today I drove us down to Nottingham - a long drive. We went out for something to eat and then after that I went for a little detour to look at the Castle.
Of course this area is famous for Robin Hood, and there is a statue of him outside the castle. You may think of him as a generous, redistributive folk hero. You may be like Ayn Rand and see him as "the most immoral and the most contemptible [of all human symbols]". Or maybe you're more of a Mel Brooks fan.
Whatever, he is a central historical figure in the district. Though quite why he is firing an arrow at an English Heritage vehicle, I'm not sure.
