Old and finished
After far too many years prevaricating we finally ordered a new vacuum cleaner to replace this vintage one. It had never been the same since the builders used it to suck up plaster when we were renovating our old house in 2014. I also bought a supply of ‘procedure face masks’, prompted by the Scottish Governments musings yesterday about whether to make these compulsory in shops, and on public transport. I ordered them at 10 this morning and they arrived at teatime. Sure enough the infiltration efficiency exceeds 98%, there is meltblown filter (?) and the obligatory 3 layers incorporating a nose bridge. So we will be all right. They are not as cosy as the soft fabric ones I have but then that’s not the point. I’ll try one out when I food shop on Thursday.
