The latest toy.

We decided to treat ourselves to another nest box camera.  Our current one needs a cable to lead into the house to show the pictures on a TV.  This means the box isn't where we can see the goings on at the entrance.

This one is a whole step up, it does need an electricity supply but the pictures are sent by WIFI.   So we can site the box on the garage in full view, power through the window and view the activity inside on phones tablets or the laptops.

Even better it can record the action for us to download along with the sound as recorded as well.  For anyone wondering what the circle is above the camera it's a window!  Once the camera is mounted inside it records infrared at night but to get colour a little more light needs to get into the box so there are two double glazed windows.  The next job is get it up asap to have a chance of it being occupied this year.
