Baffled

So, the puck lights under the cabinets were all dim. They work off a wall switch so I had to check that. It was fine. 
An hours research on t'internet said that the LED driver might have gone bad. Where the F is the LED driver?
After checking anywhere and everywhere it should be, I found it where it shouldn't be, under the sink.
Taking it apart bent me into positions that would get me locked up if done in public, but I didn't see anything wrong with the unit.
Bugger me, when I turned them back on again, they were fine.
That was 5 or 6 hours basically wasted. And the question remains, "why did they start working again?"

Ah well...
