Perfect tubes of water

Am passing through Detroit airport, and saw this feature. It looks like arches of clear Perspex, but actually they are jets of water. Hard to get a good picture!

The jets fire from the outside to the centre, and 'interlock' with each other. The bet part is when, periodically, the jets are turned off, and it is as if the tubes are rewound quickly into the centre of the black marble base.
