Windmill 'Martinus', Beugen

In Cuijk, it was 'John', here it's 'Martin'.
'Beugen' does NOT sound like 'BIYUgen'.  The 'eu' is one rounded sound, close to the French word 'fleur'.  To be clear, it is not a French word so it's not a French 'g'.

Cloudless, as you can see!  On the way back, however, the clouds had caught up and there was even a slight shower.  Never mind, mission done for today.

AW had already returned by the time I got back.  I asked if the garage had phoned and he said 'yes', and even offered to pick up the car.  A dear!  I would have done it myself but wanted to enjoy a cup of tea first, and he said he'd already rested and it was okay with him.

Monday online bridge for him in the evening; he's thinking of telling H that it might be a good idea to look for another partner as H is no longer doing his best.  It is all in good fun, of course, but AW does not enjoy underperforming even if there isn't any official competition.  I agree as I know he is capable of much, much higher scores.  Meanwhile, in between genealogical research, found time for an hour of colouring while watching the second installment of the new season, the 10th, of Death in Paradise.  Brigadier Florence Cassell is back and what a difference her presence has made.
