A change of scenery today as Dad needed to go to the bank in Southend, so we were grateful for some early morning sunshine!  The high street was very bleak and depressing with just a few hardy souls out and about doing their essential shopping.  With the news of Debenhams yesterday, we wonder what will become of the huge plot they have in Southend high street - another empty space I imagine.

Happy to spot this chap on our walk back to the car! He was surveying the cliffs from the top of a building site! Who needs a tree when you've got scaffold poles to perch on!
