Life's tangled skein

2018-08-04 (Day 217) Mayburgh Henge

With the school drawing to a close for another year, it was time to pack up, say my goodbyes and venture back into the real world. I chose to make part of my homeward journey along the A6 rather than the motorway, giving myself a bit of time to process my emotions after a full-on week.

In doing so I came across Mayburgh Henge. This is a part of threee sets standing stones near the village of Clifton, and is believed to date from the Neolithic era (3,000 to 2,000 BC).

So, thank you to the organisers of the school, to the tutors, to the staff of Yarnfield Park, to my classmates and all the other students for a great week.

I look forward to my next Summer School!
