Constance Patricia Campling 1923 - 2021
Cousin Constance always known as Pat died this morning peacefully at a Cottage Hospital. She was a fiercely independent lady who had never married which she stated was her choice as she enjoyed her freedom. She had a difficult childhood but escaped during the war when she moved away to build engine parts of planes. I think that time was seminal for her as she realised that she could be an independent woman ! And so she stayed right to the last few weeks of her life.
The photo is of Pat and her younger brother Geoffrey on a day out enjoying an ice cream. A fun moment in childhood......
Today was home schooling again. Lots of digraphs , reading and numbers. We even managed to cook some fairy cakes too and ate too many of them as well!!
Poor Mr Tbay is feeling a bit beleaguered currently. He is dealing with three Widows and their many problems, as well as the first anniversary approaching of his brothers death and now dealing with sorting out Pats affairs.
