Saluda River walk

After bowling today, my cousin D and I walked along the Saluda Riverwalk. The Saluda is the river that flows from the mountains to Lake Murray whose dam was completed in 1930 and was at that time the largest earthen dam in the world.

Below the dam the Saluda flows toward Columbia where it meets up with the Broad River to form the Congaree. Which was the river in the photos from a few days ago.

We only walked the portion of the walkway that was closest to the Congaree. It also goes upriver which will be a walk for another day.

It felt like spring but winter returns tomorrow!
