We're expecting a big storm, in preparation there have been evacuations in various areas along the coast, bits of Highway 1 will be closing, and 5,000 were evacuated in the Santa Cruz Mountains because of concerns about mudslides along the CZU burn scar. Let's hope these measures are in an abundance of caution and another disaster isn't looming. (There will be the big snow in the Sierras). I decided a good brisk walk was needed in the small flecks of rain that have so far made themselves present. Chilly. 49ºF. Let's hope we all have power tomorrow morning (and the roof doesn't leak)!
