2019-03-20 (Day 079) Insect Attack!

So this wasn't the picture I had planned for today. I posted something too similar last week - instead I just thought I would take a selfie to illustrate my Strava feed as I went round Linlithgow Loch.

So I set the camera app to 3s delay, pressed the shutter button and held the phone at arm's length... and then ran into a veritable wall of little insects. There were so many of them I could feel the pressure of them through my t-shirt. It was pretty horrible.

And that's just what happens around this time of year at Linilthgow Loch... for about a fortnight the place is infested with insects, and then they just go away.

I might avoid running the Loch next week...
