Dumped!
What a bloody day! Went to take doggies out this morning but went via the Gilp as I had to go to the chemist. Got back frigging car wouldn't start!!
Engine malfunction, why don't they provide cranking handles like they used to! (and whats a bloody engine malfunciton, nothing in comparrison to the one I was about to have!)
Anyway garage couldn't look at it till 4 so I walked home with the dogs, (they were at least happy) Did some work on my bloody project (I think there's a book with a similar name) went back to the Gilp for 4, watched the clock tick to 4.30 to 5 to 5.30 and my feet were like blocks of ice, I might add I was using the van but heater is crap. Got fed up and went home in a grump. Two minutes in the house and Donalds laptop starts playing Smile though your heart may be breaking, I say to him switch that off before your laptop breaks as it flies through that window. Im starting to thaw when my neighbour phones asking for a lift to go pick her car up from the very spot that my bloody car is (it had the audacity to break down in front of the Stag garage) anyway I ran her over down to collect her car, just then the bloody mechanic phoned to say he was coming to look at the damn car. I said it's pitch dark, he said he had a light, I said suit yourself. He came , he couldn't get into the engine because the bloody bonnet latch is broken (he had ordered the wrong part and discovered that yesterday!) then he said if you have breakdown cover, phone them and ask them to take the car to my garage! Guess who does all the breakdown pick ups... the Stag garage where the crappy car is abandoned in front of! (easy number for the Stag)
I said to my youngest that its all the folks who slide along in life that have it easy while the grafters get all the bloody difficulty and hard time! So now I have abandoned all care and no longer give a stuff!
I'm going to have my meltdown quietly (after I have my dinner and the bottle of cider & box of chocolates my kindly neighbour (she who needed the lift to get her car) left at my door.
Thank you S much appreciated and a wee chink of light in an otherwise buggering awful day. Still there's worse going on around us so I should actually be more grateful.
