Cheerful asparagus picker

My car wouldn't start this morning having been sat for several day so I decided to cycle into Formby. I had a book to collect from a friend and thought I'd make the most of the effort with a visit to the National Trust Squirrel Reserve. There were no squirrels to be seen but my daughter unexpectedly came to join me for a walk which was a lovely surprise. On our travels we came across this large carving of an Asparagus cutter. Asparagus are still grown in the fields and appear in the local shops and are delicious.
