Excitement!

After months of conversations, dialogue and two failed attempts by engineers to get fibre, M gave up and got  a 4g router. He has been asked to do several training courses for the NHS, and our broadband wasn't good enough, even in the hat studio.
One turned up yesterday, but firstly the company had managed to miss two lines of the address out, so we just had our surname, and postcode, and amazingly it did turn up. This however caused frustration, as as soon as we started stressing the wifi, it would cut out, and need rebooting. After a lot of time on the phone to the helpdesk, they agreed to send us another router, and we checked the address. Today's turned up with no house or village name either, just our surname and address... (Its a good job the delivery company knows us well from the copious amounts of mask supplies they have been delivering!  I do remember my mum once getting a strangely addressed letter from our friend in LA!)

We are absolutely thrilled with the performance .... we've both been on our laptops. I managed pilates this evening with no juddering (on the wifi, as for me that is a different matter)  We told our similarly bandwith impaired neighbour about how great it was, but as she didn't understand Martin's technical explanation, I explained that I was able to download pictures of Johannes from Strictly for my hat homework much more quickly, and she understood that!

So we will shortly start disentangling ourselves from bt. As they have been our internet provider ever since we started using the internet, this could be fun in tracking down all the emails
