Robin

This little fellow stopped briefly to see what I was up to this morning.

Despite their cute image they are aggressively territorial and will fight another robin to the death over territory. The red breast is for territory defence, and they have been known to attack stuffed robins as well as even tufts of red feathers. So next time you hear one singing remember that he is more than likely shouting "get 'orf moi land!"
