Snow Day
I awoke to a cold breeze through the open window and the eerie white light.... that could only mean one thing, snow!
I had lie-in, and Lucy popped round at 11:30 when I was still in my PJ's (although I'd done my make-up and was just about to get dressed!). I called out through the bathroom window, and heard back "it's snowing Alex!". She came on our old sledge that the sisters and I used to play on.
She had a nice ten minutes romping all over the garden and trying (!) to throw snowballs at her daddy. Her lip quivered when her dad accidentally got her in the neck with a snowball and it went in her shirt- my sister dusted her off with a tissue :-) She looked as though she might cry, and I just wanted to hug her! I froze at the door but it was worth it!
Later when I was dressed I dug my car out- no scraper and no gloves- and then very slowly drove round the corner to mum's. I then walked round to Shelle's so that N could put a bigger hard drive into my laptop. Lucy was now warmed up and about to have beans on toast for her lunch :-)
A long and computer-less afternoon, a nice FaceTime chat with K, and then a quick trip to the M & S BP to get a few bits.
I don't want to go back to work tomorrow!
