The dropped stitch

Watching ablutions

A day of three Zoom meetings which is too many (for me).

The day was brightened by these tulips on my kitchen windowsill and a chance encounter with a blackbird.

The bird was taking a bath in a deep puddle at the side of the track. A perfect bathing place, sheltered overhead by a fuchsia hedge and bordered by ferns. I stopped to watch and wondered if it would allow a photo. No! It immediately stopped its wing rinsing and hopped out of the puddle into the bath-side fernery. Fair enough. One should be able to expect a little privacy.
I walked on and then glanced back. I was happy to see it back in the 'bath' and splashing.
