Head above water

We are all bobbing around in a sea of oddness and uncertainty at the moment, wishing we could be plucked to safety from Covid fatigue and Depressing News; or at least reassured. Lifeboats are reassuring therefore apt for today and also the only half decent shot I've got.

J came with me on my early walk, which was a treat. But then proceeded to totally lose her nerve in the online speaking exam (what a horrible format) and is convinced she stuffed it up. Maybe not, who knows. She has another one tomorrow. Tears, yes, lots.

My work day was hectic, end to end calls, Brexit bemoaning and clients reporting snow in California. Yes really. Life seems to have taken on a strange, dreamlike quality.
